Taking pride in an empathetic and understanding approach, Dr. Vassey is a board-certified psychiatrist at Integrated Psychiatry in Houston, Texas.

There, he performs mental health assessments, helps patients manage long-term mental health conditions, offers medical treatment and therapy for a wide variety of psychological disorders, and offers referrals to other medical specialists as needed. He sees patients that are 18 and older for a full array of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, ADHD, intellectual disability, and psychosis/schizophrenia. He tailors each individual to a treatment plan that is unique to their specific needs, and offers referrals to other medical specialists as needed.

Dr. Vassey graduated from the University of Washington’s Psychiatry Residency program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Initially working in outpatient community mental health, Dr. Vassey transitioned to inpatient care at the hospital where he treated patients on the psychiatric unit as well as served as a consult liaison on the medical floors and the emergency room. As a result, he has a wide array of experience that can help better treat patients’ needs.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Calista Uzoma, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Who obtained her master’s degree in nursing with a specialty in Mental Health from the University of South Alabama. Calista is fervent about providing compassionate, comprehensive, and quality mental health services to individuals 18 and above. Calista evaluates, treat and manages a wide range of mental health disorder which includes: Substance abuse, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, intellectual disorder, eating disorders and ADHD. There by tailoring individual’s sole needs, personal history with a warm approach, understanding, and meaningful clarifications that soothe treatment in return gaining her patient’s sense of trust and comfort.
